Arsenal Handed MAJOR Injury Boost Ahead Of Borussia Dortmund Clash
Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost with the news that Marco Reus will miss our Champions League clash next week, it’s been confirmed today.
The German international was forced off during a 2-1 win over Scotland on Sunday night following a Charlie Mulgrew tackle and was seen with his head in his hands as he was stretchered off.
He was immediately sent for scans and the results have shown today that the 25-year-old has torn ankle ligaments and will be out for four weeks.
It means he’ll be out until October and will miss our Champions League group stage opener next Tuesday at the Westfalenstadion.
It’s a cruel blow for the player as he’s only just returned from an injury that saw him miss the World Cup, but it’s obviously a major boost for us.
Reus is one of the bets attackers in Europe and would have been a real threat, so we’ll be fortunate to take on Dortmund without him.
Let’s make sure we take advantage and come away with a positive result. It’s vital we get off to a good start and if we can get at least a draw in Germany, it would be considered a good basis to build on.
